Wade Goes All theWay!
Last night, June 20th 2006, sexy twenty-something Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat trounced the Dallas MAVS in game six of the NBA finals. After an unsettling 2-0 beginning to the series, Miami turned the tables in game three. Wade led his team down a blazing path with four wins in a row to end it all on Dallas’ home court. While the efforts of the Mavericks are certainly commendable, Flash and Shaq proved that the present day dynamic duo still packs a punch. “POW!”
Dwyane Tyrone (Yes, Tyrone) Wade was born January 17, on the south side of Chi Town, to Dwyane Sr. and Jolinda Wade. He attended Richards High School where he averaged 27.0 points and 11.0 rebounds his senior year. In college, Wade played Marquette University. After two awesome seasons, he decided to enter the Draft, declining to complete his senior year.
In 2003, Wade was the fifth overall draft pick. He went on to average more than 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in his rookie season for the Miami Heat and the rest is NBA history. At 24, this 6’4’’ shooting guard received his first NBA championship ring, the first- no doubt- of many to come.
Congratulations Dwyane, from TwentySomethin’s world wide!
